I'm really unsure where to start with this as I have a love / hate relationship with the movie, don't get me wrong, its still tons better than all Step Up movies, but I feel as if it lacks in some places. One thing that concerns me especially with things like ABDC or the Got Talent series is cutting away from the routine to see things like judge and audience reactions, and the movie had quite a lot of that during "nationals" towards the end, I am curious why Parris went with the HHI type of story line~
Another thing that kind of got me is, usually in movies like step up, there's a lot of story line between each dance routine, but this had a battle at the beginning, some rehearsal stuff and then ALOT (perhaps too much) dancing towards the end, all of which I wish was longer, which may sound odd saying its too much but I want more, what I mean is that it should have been spread out throughout the movie and also the routines should have been a bit longer than 1 minute.

I really liked the story line, so props to Parris for it, Tia's not the best actor but he did well enough to keep me engaged in the movie, the real surprise was Onyeka, when seeing youtube stuff in the past, or even when I went to see Skulls and Crowns in Barking last year, Onyeka seems like the sort that is very, whats the word, I wanna say bitch, but in a good way? I guess she seems like the type of person you don't wanna mess with, but it was surprising because her relationship with "Tu" was kind of cute, and I she seems like a really good actor, and the name calling she was throwing at Tu was fun.
Kyra, also a bitch, when she pushed past the one girl when the dude was saying who was in K Crew, I thought "Damn, Kyra you bitch" she talks with her eyes I guess, I remember calling her "crazy eyes" with Sorority's 2013 routine as soon as those masks come up over the face and she stares into the crowd, and the sdnz routine when she's "gone with the wind fabulous" Kerrington was also a pretty good actor, OH and I loved Mikey in this, again not the best of actors but, he's cute and his character is like that guy that everyone wants to be friends with and loves, and I loved his story of the other guy having problems with "Tino's" sexuality~ when he came for Mikey, and Mikey got him in an arm lock, I was like FUCK YES!!! that was awesome, so props again to Parris for this part of storyline.

So I guess I'll go into the routines, the first battle, It seemed as if picture was a little off sync during this battle in some places, maybe too much switching between the camera's and stuff, the rehearsals too, when some of them were dancing, I wondered what they were dancing to, I think it was around the part where people are showing off their moves for "K Crew" and the O'neil twins were dancing and I wondered what they were dancing to, I also noticed Kiel's piece for "No Flex Zone" was used for the track that "Queen Bee" Kyra was dancing to, so I felt that was a little lazy to not use new material.

Neon Faction - Bill Gates
This is a catchy song, the routine was pretty good, it had that sort of choreo that brotherhood use at HHI each year, I really enjoyed it.

K-Crew - Ayo
I really didn't like the thing with the hood when Tu was doing it, it seemed pretty cheesey, but K-Crew's version seemed a little bit better, though its still a bit silly imho when they're holding the sides and just going in and out with the build up of the song, there was some krump but not much happening other than that.

Freaks vs 2PK - Not Many (The Remix)
This was a pretty good routine, though the whole part with Tu cutting them down the middle seemed a bit cheesey, but other than that, I liked it.

K-Crew - Semi final (unsure of the song name)
I guess I'll call this "click click click click ehhhhh" I loved the popping / robotics in this routine but, it literally lasts 45 seconds and 33 seconds of it is sound effects, again, too short, way too short and I feel as if theres not enough music in the routine, the choreo itself when the dubstep part starts reminds me of that choreo we see from Identity at HHI, but the camera is zoomed in way too much to see what else is going on in the routine so for me, it didn't make much sense.

Imminence - Its Ovah
Ok, can I just say how disappointed with the lack of Kiel, Todd and Joseph in this movie, when seeing the trailer, I was expecting to see more of them, this routine was pretty fun, it was gay, I loved it, but didn't last too long, the song itself is a little ehhhhh, meh? but the routine was fierce, hot, sexy.

Infamous - Semi final
No idea what this song was, but... wondering where Parris had gone, was she kicked from the crew? she was there earlier for the routine in the club to "Let It Go" this routine was pretty good, but when they were doing the sexy thing with their hips, again the camera panned away to some guy in the crowd.

2 Freaky - Two Times A Charm
I really liked this routine because Mikey got to be in charge of the girls, but some of the angles, I didn't get the opening with the one guy running towards the camera, then running back, but loved the rest of the routine, the O'neil twins dancing, is that the same choreo from their rehearsals over at K-crews studio? I'm unsure, this song too, good, but odd good perhaps?

K-Crew - Fresh
This song is bangin' I really like it, I think this camera angle in the opening works with the guy and the face paint, I think it should have zoomed out a bit quicker when more things started to happen, again I was a little let down when Kyra was walking on the guys backs and there wasn't much else happening apart from "walk walk walk walk" and then at some point Kyra does something kind of cool looking with her hands in the air, but the camera cuts her hands off so~

2 Freaky - Baddest
Didn't think too much of the drum solo at the beginning, the routine was good though, it had that royal fam dance hall stuff and some of that "little movements says it all" thing, I didn't think much of the lighting at the beginning with Kaea, but yea, the bottles were good, the whole routine was pretty spot on.

Extras:
So at some point, I did wonder whether this Bluray was a fake or not, mainly because the menu fonts weren't too great and was a little confusing, when going to subtitles, it was english, or off, but the only way to get off of this part of the menu was to scroll down passed off to get back to the menu, turning it off? how do I know whether its going to be on or off when clicking doesn't inform me whether it is or not? in the Extra's part we have a trailer, featurette, screening with cast~
There wasn't enough in the extra's to be honest, but I noticed in the featurette that that was a clip where Kerrington was dancing and Kiel and Todd were to her left and right, I thought I had missed something at the end of the movie after the credits, but there was nothing, so it left me wondering where this routine was, also extra's should have had 1 shot camera's of each routine, like in those j-pop music videos, sometimes they'll have a close up shot and sometimes a "dance shot version" so again, I was a little disappointed where I had thought there would be some cool extra's.
If Parris does decide to make another movie in the future, I hope she gets camera angles right, doesn't cut away from routines and remembers to include something cool in extra's, Also want to say, I mentioned earlier there wasn't enough Kiel, there also wasn't enough Parris, she did such a great job in Step Up All In with her acting, she was funny, so thats another thing to include, more of yourself!

Hope this review doesn't offend / upset anyone~
BGT, AGT, Asia's Got Talent, Aus Has Talent etc etc.
Towards the end of the show, there was a clip and I thought "hold on a moment, those young girls look like they're doing Bubblegums choreography from their 2014 HHI set" and decided to post a photo on The Palace Dance Studio's facebook, and then was looking for a long while putting everything infront of the words "Got Talent Dance Crews" until I got to India and found an image on google that looked like the girls in the photo that I took, to find "Ele Angels Crew" and after finding a youtube video... well, its basically a rip off of Bubblegums set.
Ele Angels
Original: Bubblegum HHI 2014.

The video is sloppy, they're pretty much out of sync, and they decided to ruin beyonces music by putting some other song over the top to try and mash it up, to a point where the audio is distorted and sounds incredibly low quality.
This video is straight up biting, Bloggingbestdancecrew posted about this a few years ago, and it still bugs me to this day, I really don't get what people get out of this sort of thing, surely they know they'll get found out eventually right?
This time we have the original on the left side with the koreans stealing the choreography on the right, I think I remember Monster MG's lead choreographer apologizing for taking the choreography and were taken out of the competition.
Purplay "Remember Love"
Original/s: IaMmE Right Above It / Ill-emental

This one sucks, because the song is pretty catchy but the girls (maybe not their fault) straight up take the Rubix cube tutting piece from IaMmE's first ABDC routine for Right Above It, and their final piece which is also kind of a rubix cube in a way, from their Ill-emental final routine.
Team B / YG
Original: IaMmE Right Above It / Meet Me Halfway

I feel bad for IaMmE, I actually came across this one while searching for that brazillian group a few videos above, The parts taken are the robot piece from their Meet Me Half Way routine on ABDC6, and the ending gun part from Right Above It, when coming across this video, I saw something that I think was posts by Brandon (IaMmE) saying he doesn't get why these asian companies don't just hire them, which is true, alot of these companies are geniuses with their groups and have more than enough money to pay out for choreography, not only that but some of the other choreography in the video looks familiar, YG have Parris on board at the moment so... I guess if she see's any funny business, she'll point it out.

Thats all the ones I know of at the moment, I could add to this I guess, I remember someone saying that Diversity stole their transformers thing from Phillipine Allstars before, not sure if thats true or not though ;0Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375626205918435206.post-84760674905319038042015-08-20T16:33:00.001-07:002015-08-20T16:33:28.881-07:00ABDC Season 8 Episode 4Damn, this episode was emotional, and had alot of cool routines!
I'm gonna start off with the stuff I usually leave until last, so get the negative stuff out the way firt.
Firstly, the whole thing that happened last week with Super Crew, people on FB have been saying "people take from art all the time" and some idiot is saying "they also changed clothes while doing it" at the end of the day, they still COPIED something, whether its from art, a dance crew, or whatever, I don't care, you shouldn't expect that on the ABDC stage, and to follow that up, I've seen my favourite crew go home, and the last 3 should be the best 3 crews in the competition, so the fact that Super Crew are still there really angers me.
onto other stuff, MOOOON, his gf, that was so emotional for me, I started crying, but it was beautiful moment because he had everyone he loved around him, the crew, quest crew, dancers in the audience, It really was nice! and he got emotional, and... uuuuuuh, It was a gorgeous moment :D

Super Kinjas:
The whole temple opening with the pillars falling was really cool, and they were nicely synced, the guys on the other dudes backs coming in slowly for an attack (I guess for an attack) was pretty cool, the new dude from SC wasn't in the middle, the next part with the 2 guys infront was cool, to the vocals, sensei has returned so thats pretty cool.
The whole forming an alliance thing was cool, the following choreo was cool and nice and smooth, suprised Super Crew could pick up this sort of choreo, the stairs section was really cool, the next part on the other contraption (forget what its called) was cool, but some of the guys were offsync, and a few of the guys sat up too quickly, the thing across the stage from right to left (new guy again) that was pretty cool, the 3 in the middle in front of the trophy was cool, I like that the trophy was included as this... like, Gem or... something, and I've just now noticed that theres 2 young girls that look about 10 or so in the audience and the judges have been swearing and all sorts, also notice a few other dancers ;0 I think that one guy who was in Walking Dead, I liked the use of the audience, and I do honestly feel like, if the audience wasn't included, that the judges would have picked the other 2, the other 2 felt much stronger for me, and it seemed that way to the judges too listening to their comments but... oh well~

IaMQuest:
The opening was cool, liked the spins and walking up the wall illusion, the next part with the brainbang was soooooo good, I'd really love to see how phillip comes up with some of this stuff, because its not all squared shaped tutting now, and it can be hard to watch it and get it with rounder shapes, but he does so well doing it, and Moon (not sure which one of them comes up with it, maybe both?) the next part of choreo was cool, and it was, looked like Feng was way too early with it though, was a little odd watching it back, seeing Tam do one of those flips with the little kicks with Steve was niiiiiice, Bebo coming out forward was cool, the following choreo was nice, but I think Feng was off a little bit again, D-trix doing the bboy stuff was noiiiice, I think that Brandon's footwork is a little bit too fast, it was offsync again, I liked the footwork, but I seems as if some are forgetting what beat they've gotta hit and just doing it all as one (which is what Feng seemed to do in that first part of choreo after the brainbang) the floorwork into the 4 towers looked cool, and then the tutting was nice, pretty on sync but maybe a little fast? the whacking was cool too, something I want to learn, Bebo's then thrown like a cannonball ;0 the swag was sweet, and then this part looked fun, the 3 who are best at tutting pop up behind the judges, Frankie smiles, he makes me laugh, fav judge ;0 the next bboy section was cool, and the choreo they did with the girl infront was good, though not sure if I was meant to see a bit more of that? the camera wasn't focusing on that part so, not sure when exactly it started~ the part on the right steps? that was pretty sweet, with Lisa? I think, rolling down, it was such a good routine.

Kinjas:
I've seen videos of Mike dancing with this guy before, and they're cool together, but I do honestly feel, even though its a cool performance, you can dance pretty much however, and then make sounds up for it, anyway... the popping was good, the small section of house was good, then the voice thing was kinda cute, the Mortal Kombat thing was cool, Goro? I think is the name of the character with 4 arms, the select your character part reminded me of their performance earlier in the year, the following housing / footwork was cool, and now we get some sick wubs, but I do feel somewhat odd with this routine, I loved it, but would have prefered seeing them dance to music.

Super Crew:
I don't know what to say about this, the freeze on the stairs was cool, most of the choreo was very one, two, three, four, with tricks in between, the 2 in the back spinning slowly with their hands on the floor (crouching) was a bit weird, the 3 guys on the things closer to the audience wasn't that great, I wish they'd had stepped on an audience members hand to be sent home or something, going through these watching, I've paused every one to rewatch but... I didn't with these... I cbb.

IaMmE:
We can see the boards, but the 2 girls on the left and right, that looked good, it was a nice illusion, they looked like they were floating, the judges kept saying how hard it is to use one of these boards so I'm really curious how hard, the popping and locking on them looked sweet, Bebo running over the other guys, I didn't catch it the first time because I was watching Phil with the girl doing some sort of Bicycle thing with her legs, Bebo's freeze was a nice touch with the others floating around him, went nice with the break in the music, I'm not quite sure what Moon was doing, the other 4 were doing something and Moon did something different, the spinning boards round Tam while she whacks followed by Emellio jumping off the board, how did that not slip and make him fall? was awesome, the following brainbang with new girl and phillip, but also bone breaking and brainbanging? that was pretty insane, the choreo after this was nice, and the footwork was nice and clean, the popping too, the ending was pretty creepy, ahhh I forget what the new girl is called, Lisa is the one from Funk'dation right? hmmm I'll have to check fb~

Quest Crew:
This was sad, them all sitting at the beginning as friends and then them (btw, who are the 2 girls in baseball jerseys behind Jayson?) all of them going away, it was pretty sad, the choreo was nice, and when the bassed dropped, the thing they did with their knees was cool, they're SUCH A BETTER CREW than the other Bboy crew, all their expressions <3 its so sad T___T Steves flip was cool, the brainbang section, D-trix's face, he looks so sad at this point, the following chairography is sooooooo cool, then them coming back at the end sitting, It was an emotional performance, Teyana said "blah blah, no props" but... hey that big yellow chair is there, she blind?
T-pain getting upset, was soooo sad, gah this show, if ABDC comes back with season 9, I hope it doesn't get all emotional, what he said about believing in his music... its true, and this was a beautiful / emotional / amazing routine.

I'ma miss IaMmE :(

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375626205918435206.post-61596247609231048482015-08-14T11:59:00.000-07:002015-08-14T11:59:33.595-07:00ABDC Season 8 Episode 3I want to start off by saying, we've seen alot of plagiarism in the past, with Monster MG copying Poreotics, that one Brazillian crew copying IaMmE's routine to Riri, I think there was something before about Diversity copying Phillipine Allstars too, So the fact I've just witnessed it, even though it wasn't taken from a dance crew, but a video floating around on facebook kind of dissapoints me to a point where I no longer have as much respect for a crew as I did.
So the video I'm talking about is one that was floating around where a group of 5 / 6 people hold hands and moves to their side, pretty much what Super Crew did, yea they didn't copy a whole routine but heres why i'm pissed at the fact they did it... They're a well known crew, and to bring any form of plagiarism to the ABDC stage is not ok, you don't expect that from ANY American dance crews as its usually the American crews that get copied, So, lets start with Super Crew.

SuperCrew:
I usually dislike Bboy crews because the breaking seems to be a bit "1,2,3,4" I mean... sure its cool what they can do, spinning on their heads, insanes tricks, the head into the hat was pretty cool,
and they kind of prooved me wrong with what I thought about them over the past few weeks, but what they did has kind of taken away alot of respect I had for them, they're "champions" so you don't expect it... Apart from the hat trick, and the 6 guys on the vinyls, and then it looked like they were about to fall, but the camera changed angle and they were fine, reminded me of Week 1 when We Are Heroes performed, looking at the routines on youtube, you see it repeats the failed part, I don't know if they had to redo the routine on stage, or it was a quick recovery from falling... it was a little odd.
Anyway, this routine didn't have much going for it, the choreo inbetween the stolen move, and the vinyls didn't really stand out, the only things I'll remember this routine for is being pissed off, and then them being shirtless, which isn't enough I'm afraid.

IaMmE:
Is it me, or do they come out and just KILL IT every week, the opening was a bit odd with the floorwork but not bad, the shadow part with the tutting was cool, I had a feeling those shadows were from behind the screen ;0 the shadows was pretty fun, I liked it, the following flip with Bebo was kind insane coz he went around and was flung by his feet without touching the floor, was a bit crazy!
the footwork was a little out of sync but not terrible, then that swag, that was pretty sexy, this weeks Brainbang was pretty cool, some cool waving in and out of parts, the following floor work was pretty cool, reminded me of being in photoshop and trying to make patterns haha, the fall at the end was also a nice effect.
I did love the routine, but I do feel a little bit like "Ok, you 3 go over there and do stuff, and us 4 will do things over here, then we'll regroup" which is a little odd, Kinjas also did that this week but more on that in a bit.

Elektrolytes:
This opening was pretty cool but as I said previously, the whole "you go over there" what are the others doing? anyway, this routine is very funky, the locking is really good, the following gliding using the walkers was cool, another part where the camera is focusing on 3 guys, but this is probably their best routine, it was funky fun.

Kinjas:
Theres the fun sensei voice again, the opening for me was a little weird, and a bit of an odd song choice for them I guess, they zipped up on the 4ths which was a little odd, then the last guys zipping up on its own was cool but, I didn't like this opening much, it just went up, then they stood there for a few seconds, was a little odd, the handkerchief part was really cool though, looked like a little flame.
The choreo is cool, but again, people running off to do their thing, though... the part with the red carpet (I'm reminded of the 9 tails in Naruto, and I know Mike watches Naruto and other animes so maybe related? ;0) Its cool, the butt part too :P then back to the other 3, the following flips were really cool with the 2 guys, again, I do like Kinjas but I'm expecting more from a crew thats made up of Kaba, Jabba, Poreotics~

Quest Crew:
Wow... just... wow, I don't even care if they weren't in sync for some of this, what frankie said was right, if someone were to do something like this in the past on ABDC, they'd probably not get away with it, the fashion... they all look so pretty... I loved the VT when Dtrix tried to break something and hurt himself (not really hurt) he's a comedian, I miss him as a judge and it was cool when Ru was dressed up too at the end haha, Fengs beard... It was just hilarious, his krumping was cool, the opening to reveal the gurls was funny,
The tricks were cool, and Dtrix doing a nice spin on his one leg, the following part to Nicki Minajs vocals was some cool choreo, a little offsync but was really good, the following with Steve (I really need to stop saying the following) was cool, jumping through the curtain, then the mini skirt, into a flip where he kicks his legs, the part with Hoks hair was hilarious and cool, a little brainbanging :D
Ryan did one of his flips landing on his head which is always cool, I do wonder if he suffers a mad headache after doing these! the scissors part was funny and cool, taking off their trousers (pants for you americans!) the pop sound made it sound like... something bad happened, either something went in, or something exploded x: maybe I shouldn't say that haha, the next part of choreo with the pink pants was cool, then the death drop (I think thats what they're called) that Hok did at the end... was just superb, this routine was my favourite of the night, it was fabulous, sexy! and Damnit, fengs beard haha.

So, maybe I'm a little angry this week, I'm in an odd mood and my head hurts, I'm liking the judges alot now... Frankies funny, and they seem to be giving a bit more critisism, not being SOOO nice like they were the first week, frankie falling to the floor when T-pain mentioned people taking their clothes off was funny, T-pain saying "thats what she said" Its fun, maybe they are better than Lil Mama and JC, and Teyana swore! It was a good thing I guess, it shows that she's passionate.
T-pain did a little waving after one crew performed and that was kind of fun, and at the end of the show he was on the stage dancing, and it was impressive!
It was a little sad to see Emellio crying too when Elektrolytes were voted off <3
I did think they'd be voted off next... efore ABDC aired, I thought that Elektrolytes would be the first to leave, but week 2, I thought We Are Heroes, Elektrolytes, Super Crew, Quest Crew, Kinjas and then IaMmE would be the winners...
But after their performance for week 3, I think that Super Crew deserved to go home, taking the whole facebook video out of the equasion, their routine in all felt pretty poor.
I do wonder what happens after this season finishes, Is there going to be a brand new season with new crews? If so when? or is it just champions and then we've got to wait a few years for a new season again?Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375626205918435206.post-66879804602437278942015-08-06T08:46:00.004-07:002015-08-06T08:54:40.596-07:00ABDC Season 8 Episode 2.Ok, so its week 2 and I've just finished watching, though I had a few spoilers following crews on facebook and a guy uploading to youtube, Its really a shame that MTV doesn't just upload the full episodes on their facebook, alot of these crews have huge fanbases worldwide, so surely it'd be better for MTV to get the views on youtube than people watch performances from others on youtube, and then not bother tuning in a year later on MTVs channel~
Anyway, lets start.

The Opening:
This was sick, I didn't think that I could be impressed by anyone else than The Royal Family dancing to "Started From The Bottom" but, the opening, introducing all the crews for a 2nd time, and it being smooth was kind of epic, I liked the whole... looking at the opponent type thing they had going on, and the piece just blew me away, I liked the music changing to different genres for each crew, the parts that stuck out the most for me though were IaMmE's brainbang (mainly because it was something we had seen before but they took it to a better level) and weirdly enough, We Are Heroes, I'm soooo dissapointed that We Are Heroes choregraphy, yet again... is better in the opening routine with the others than the routine thats meant to keep them there.

IaMmE / Birthday:
I hadn't actually heard this song before, or maybe I have and had forgotten, the opening was nice, I the trampoline bed was a nice touch, some little brainbanging with the balloons was cool, and Bebo spinning on his head, while wrapping the sheet around his head was cool, some nice whacking from Scarlette too :D it amazes me how Moon and Phil come up with these brain bangs, the next part with the connecting, its stuff that I've seen before, but this is in a different way and unique, and it was nice and smooth, which was a little different.
Emilio doing some stuff on the trampoline while it was rolling was pretty cool, I worried that he may hit his head on the side though as he was a little towards the back, the next part of Choreo was really nice and then... the next brainbang... was somewhat trippy, I think it worked well for them having the left and right sleves on their jackets different colours because it looked like it was 1 set of arms, but moving in an odd way, it was cool, then the next part, I thought they were going to go into that head roll thing they did for the Kanye West routine they did on ABDC back in 2011.
Scarlettes double backflip was cool but it didn't look like she landed too well, the same with Emellio, I thought that she was a bit close to the front or back end of the bed, the following choreo was cool, and then some sort of brainbanging backflips over one another, this was cool, it reminded me a little of IaMmE's routine for Black Eyed Pea's week on ABDC6, when they leant backwards into each others hands, it was all about timing so that one didn't fall on the floor, one wrong move and these flips could have gone horribly wrong! The ending was really nice, It felt like it represented someone growing through time, which Birthdays are all about :) was a nice routine.

Kinjas / Oh My Gosh:
This opening, yet again, cheesey but... I love it, It reminds me so much of Naruto (anime) I too, like Teyana want to kno whose voice it is, its funny, but good, anyway, the peace up, A town part was fun, the stepping down off the steps (I'd also like to mention, I like the use of crews using the stage steps and stuff this season, makes things somewhat bigger) the stepping down too, what I guess are hard kicks was cool, I wish I could have seen what the others were doing when the guy was doing stuff on one hand, the next part of choreo was pretty cool, then the next part was a little robotic and sexy... which was really nice, I loved the use of Usher's moves, the part where the guys are on their heads doing stuff with their feet was really cool, most of the sounds they picked out to dance to aswell, helps you hear sounds you usually wouldn't hear, in a way, they're a blend of Jabbawockeez, and Kaba Modern, but they also remind me a little bit of Mos Wanted too.

Super Crew / Uptown Funk:
The opening footwork was nice, the jumps left and right were a little cheesey, the following athletic stuff was pretty good, but the roll overs and unders, I've seen this done so much, so I didn't like it much, the sliding across the stage, I'm really curious how the hell he did that, the next section with the locking was done really well, and then the section with the guys on the chairs looked pretty cool, but the following part where the guy jumps up on the judgeing panel was funny, Its funny, rewatching on youtube, to pause and see the judges aren't paying attention to the guy coming from the right, and they're just looking forward as he jumps up, and Teyana looks so confused, then she looks shocked when he jumps off infront, it was fun, the following bboy stuff was really cool, and nice little touches with the 3 guys on the chairs doing some little bits while the others were bboying, I wasn't too much of a fan at the ending of the guy saying stuff loudly~
But I enjoyed it.

Quest Crew / Turn Up The Music:
This opening was pretty cool, somewhat robotic, it shows that they're not just a bboy crew, but we've seen that many times with Hok's tutting and cool choreo, their arms coming out to the "bop bop bop bop" was cool, and then some cool bboying stuff and Ryan does a weird flip that goes into a worm kind of, I'm curious what that is what they're dancing with, is it just a light? the next part with Hok on his head was cool, the way he moves is so interesting, I'm loving the robotics :D sliding over to the right, and the guy loses his balance, which was a little sad but he did a good job at entertaining, and the slide D-trix did on the 2 guys back was pretty insane, I love it when the guys do something that been done before but take it to a whole other level :D

We Are Heroes / Freak On:
This was alot better than last weeks, to be honest... and it pains me a little, I'm going to be honest, maybe it'll sound a bit brutal but... its expected that they're in the bottom 2, Season 4 of ABDC was a little weird, didn't we have dancing cowboys? the crew from Brazil that wasn't really street but somewhat street? I spent the past few days looking at some stuff of theirs and looking back to guest performances, the crew doesn't paint a good picture for some of what appears to be brainbanging / connecting, its not framed well, I looked at their collab with Flavahz on ABDC7 and there was a part where the 5 girls from WAH stood and all did different things, It looked and felt weird watching.
I liked the opening to this, I don't think they put enough energy into the floor work, the jumping down off the stairs was pretty sexy, this was kind of awful, the new girl, who was dressed in pink... she didn't even dance, she came in half way, took a pic, moved the camera in a circle, leant over so reveal herself as being pulled too hard, and then dissapeared off stage... the choreo with the others was pretty good, but it makes me wonder... can this girl even dance, was she just in last weeks performance for doing flips and tricks? the music playing backwards part was pretty cool but, it reminded me of what I said above, they're all doing things seperately.
The part after which was actually some quite cool choreo, somewhat popping, then a pose, then some cool part followed by what appears to be their arms going up and down like the Johnny Bravo opening, the following was actually... sexy and done well, then the part where Marie Poppins and Hiro were on their knees with their arms out popping with their chest... wait... didn't we see this last week? just... the girl in pink... what was she doing throughout the rest of that routine, it was so bizzare, I had great hopes for this crew when I saw that Marie Poppins was going to be a part...
I'ma leave it there, just dissapointed.

Elektrolytes / Want You To Want Me:
The connection to last week was pretty cool, I like that they're playful with it, feel sorry for whoever had to clean up that popcorn, the Choreo is nice, and pretty sexy and smooth, again making good use of the stage, some cool tricks and more smooth sexy dancing, the following with the books was pretty cool, though felt like IaMmE's opening last week, well... just reminded me of it anyway, I feel as if all crews are making good use of the stage this week (btw I want that poster) but I feel like props are going to become a bit of a problem this season, I'd prefer if they just all dance.
Love the next bit on the stage where they all kinda shift to the left, again, somewhat sexy, felt kinda like grease ;0
was good.

So, We Are Heroes were voted off, I'm not surprised, and its a little saddening, I know they say "the first female group to win" and stuff, but there are other females representing that are better.
I think the judges were better this week, more honest and not harsh but said what had to be said, I think Frankie is going to be the one thats really honest, the mean judge, well... not the "mean" judge but the hard to impress judge. I did say last week they're too nicey nice, but I do like them, Frankie seems fun and playful, like when Elektrolytes blew a kiss and he was saying "It was for me" to Teyana, the other 2 do seem pretty fun too, but I like Frankie the most.

Oh yea, I'd also like to add, I'm liking that MTV are letting crews use their own logo's this season :D Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375626205918435206.post-84369323944594140672015-07-31T19:56:00.001-07:002015-08-01T10:17:16.415-07:00ABDC Season 8 Episode 1.So ABDC started this week and I managed to get a copy of the video thanks to Randy Moon on youtube, check out his channel.
So its been 3 years since the last ABDC and they started off with a bang! Ne-yo opened the show with some of his songs, accompanied by all returning crews for a special performance, all was good, So I'm going to start off with the crews first.

SuperCrew:
I didn't see season 2, so I don't know if they've improoved, I started off with Season 4.
I don't usually like Bboy crews, apart from Quest, but these did a good job at opening the show, I thought they'd be mostly doing Bboy stuff and tricks but when the song dropped, that cool footwork they did was cool, the opening also on the steps, reminded me a little of IaMmE's connecting stuff.
It was a feel good routine but not the strongest of the night.
I'm going to mention the last part with the holding of one guy, and dropping him toward the floor because of the following performances.

IaMmE:
All I've seen over the past few weeks on facebook is "where's Chachi" or "where's Jaja" but more so Chachi, and I've noticed most of these people seem to be kids who are either girls who look up to chachi, or little boys that fancy her, I like Chachi, but I don't particularly care about her not returning, what I care about the most is the choreo the boys come up with.
The opening with the books were cool, reminded me alot of that microsoft surface ad which I think Phil had some involvement with, and I'm glad the paper plane went where it was suppose to! usually when I make them, they spin or turn and go somewhere not wanted.
That weird flip Tamara did was awesome, then followed by a sick trick of their jumping off of their backs, and heres what I guess is the brainbangin? though I wouldn't say its brainbangin, but it was cool, the next section with the wubs had alot of cool choreo and then the ending with Tamara doing the splits on the chairs was amazing, I think she's a good replacement for Chachi ;0

Elektrolytes:
I almost didn't recognise the song with the opening, the opening choreo was interesting, then the housing and cool footwork for the drop was cool, then a guy does the splits and twists down, this reminded me of the ending of Supercrew's performance, the next section was pretty cool, followed by the floor crawls? then some lovely wubs, wish MTV hadn't zoomed in for most of it, the choreo with the chains were cool, using them like Nunchucks, the ending was a little odd, I know it was meant to look like the guy fell off and was dead, I'm curious what the audience saw haha.

Kinjas:
This was a little dissapointing, the choreo was nice and really smooth, but I've seen alot of Kinjas stuff on youtube that was alot better than this, you can see some of the Jabbawockeez influence in it, I think my favourite part was probably the footwork, I feel like I've seen this choreo before, I think when watching the first time, I got alot of nostalgia from watching it, but yea... I've seen better stuff on youtube than this performance, was just expecting a little more from it.

we Are Heroes:
Ok so, when the show started with Ne-yo, and We Are Heroes opened up as the first crew on stage, I thought this choreo was a lot better, and that they had stepped it up from Season 4, and the fact there were new members and one of them being Marie Poppins, I thought it'd be amazing was really dissapointed, also... Diamonds by Rihanna? thats an odd choice seeing as the leader, Hiro is a popper, you'd expect her to pick a dubstep track by Skrillex or something.
The opening was great, it was somewhat beautiful, then they leant backwards and Marie didn't lean as for as the other 3 that were infront, it looked odd, then they all reached up, then it went incredibly girly, but weird and happy, they said in their package that they can go as hard as the guys, but I didn't see it, the next part had one of the new girls do a roll and into splits, followed by weird tutting before the wubs, which I didn't think were needed until the wubs came along, then Marie and Hiro weren't in sync with each other, I thought the next part with the chest popping was a little boring, the next part was pretty cool with the other girl doing some weird thing, but the others seemed out of place, they should have "framed" it better, maybe all connected as a circle or something.
The following tutting section, Hiro and Marie weren't synced up again, so it looked weird.
The Diamond at the end was my favourite part, they were voted to go, and I see why, hopefully they step it up next week, I'd like to see Marie choreo something...
Oh and before I forget, The girl at the back in the opening was in a splits pose and rolled down, It felt like I had seen this for the 3rd time.

Quest Crew:
This was good, opening all rock like, good tricks, Hok's nuts almost being crushed, fun choreo, I liked the cool thing D-trix did, the part with Hok on the guys back, the drum sounds when Hok went, then the other 2 joined in, the guy on the left wasnt on beat, and then we have our first over / under / middle flip trick, which are always fun to see in Quests performances, the following footwork looked like alot of fun, and Terada's flip at the end was really cool.

So this season started well, I'm looking forward mostly to seeing IaMmE, Quest and Kinjas, I did go into this thinking Elektrolytes would be the ones to be voted off first, but they did a good job, the Judges however, and host, Jason is pretty good on the eye, nice to look at but he doesn't have the personality of Mario, I remember a few times Mario would join in a little and do a few jokey dances when the judges were giving feed back, the judges... I would have prefered more people who know about dance, T-pain said "blah blah blah sandwich" or something similar, instead of the professional word, I see Judges, for example, if someones tutting, they'll say "that really cool thing you did with your hands" instead of "The tutting was on point" or whatever, they seemed to nicey nice, I miss JC being honest about the routines, these 3 don't seem to have anything bad to say... until ya know, the end when they voted We Are Heroes.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375626205918435206.post-58999640383560340232015-05-06T17:37:00.000-07:002015-05-06T17:37:27.571-07:00Skulls & Crowns. So last night I had the most amazing night ever, I got to see my favourite dance crew, my fav dancer and DAMN it was full of hilarious stuff and was such an awesome night, I'm so glad I got to spend it with my best friend and my sister.

So there were some opening acts to the night, and usually I'm not impressed with any dance crews that are british, IMD in particular, I didn't like when I looked at their performance at HHI, and I didn't like their audition on BGT a few weeks ago, but more about that in a bit.
The first act was a group of girls krumping, and it was impressive, I forget their names (sorry) but I enjoyed it, I don't like when people dance to vocals with no music, but when they got into it, I got into it, and for the first time ever I was impressed.
Then when the host said IMD was coming out, I thought "oh no, I don't really like these"
but DAMN, theres something about seeing it live thats so impressive, infact, they did the same routine that they done on BGT and it felt better, maybe its something to do with frames per second, just seeing it live was pretty amazing, and I have to hand it to them, they really did a good job, I'm just not a fan of grime (I've said previously) but now, I'm really looking forward to their next piece on Britains Got Talent, I'd like to see them dancing to something else because they have the moves, they listen to the music, and I take back what I may have said about them previously, I was wrong.

Now for the main show, damn, just... wow, Parris and the gang were having some technical difficulties so we had a few fun things go on while we waited for laptops and audio to be perfect.
Her dad apologized for being late and the technical difficulties, and told us it felt so good talking to people that spoke English as it was difficult explaining in the previous countries in the european tour.
He decided to get 5 of the girls out and pick 5 people from the audience, my sister was saying "Aaron, go on!!!" and then it was for a small dance battle to win a Royal Family jersey.
My sister said after "Its a good thing you didn't, I didn't know it'd be for dancing"
In the end, 2 guys battled it out and it was really fun to watch.
Another guy that was also from New Zealand did some beatboxing because the audio still hadn't been sorted, and after that, Parris came out and apologized, told us the audio may be lower quality but they'll give it their all and it was so lovely.
They opened with their performance for Twerk It and... damn, If you've seen that on youtube, the opening where they're all moving slow... remember I previously said something about frames on TV~ this... seeing it in person, its so incredibly smooth and slow, it was incredible.

I don't want to give much away, I mainly want to talk about some of the funny stuff that happened.
So the host, he was funny, he was saying how RF do the slow "ting" and was doing it while getting us ready for the show, at some point, Parris was behind the left curtain, and he was off to the side where it leads down a hallway, and she popped around was dancing sexily and he was watching and I guess getting a little embarassed, and she took his hat from him, and his bottle of water and walked center stage with the water and hat, and was dancing, she's so good at improvising, grabbing that hat and water and changing her routine a little to use them both was so gooooooooood.
Then throwing the hat back at him after, he caught it, It was so amazing and funny.
The 2nd laugh of the night is when they did a special dance for 5 lucky audience members, one guy, he was.... very into it, biting his lip, playing along, and as soon as he was in view again, he pulled out his phone, Parris walked up behind him and put his arms around him, It was so funny, he looked so nervous but knew he had to do it.
I was watching on my sisters facebook a few minutes ago (its private) and it made me cry, the whole show was a top highlight of my life, I don't think I'll get to see Parris and TRF again, all I know is that if the chance comes to get tickets for a show next year, I'm buying as soon as I get any sort of info.

I'ma go ahead and add IMD to my favourite dance crews, they deserve a place there, also "Boyband" from BGT, they were fun, another thing I wanted to mention~
The whole community seems lovely, there was one girl I noticed when we arrived that was queing, and it took me a while but I realised she was on the first season of Got To Dance, some other faces looked familiar and they all seemed to know each other, they were all cheering on the opening acts, all seemed to know each others names and it just felt like such a wonderful community, and I hope by the end of the year, I'm part of it.

Crowns up! :DUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375626205918435206.post-41469398625250520682015-01-25T23:51:00.000-08:002015-01-25T23:51:45.568-08:00ABDC Returning. So ABDC is returning to MTV, and it kind of made my day when I heard the news, I finally have something to look forward to in the summer, and I also have someone finally thats interested in dance that I can put my own dance crew together, and with ABDC returning, its just going to inspire me to dance more.

So, apparently crews will be returning and also info popped up of winners returning too, someone mentioned winners competing again and I found it a bit silly, if all 7 crews returned to compete then jabbawockeez would probably win, even though I don't think they deserve to, not that I dislike them, I just find other crews more interesting or whatever.
I do think however its possible that winners will deffinetly return but as guests on each show, or a special performance, It did go through my mind that maybe they'd mentor the crews on the show, kind of like X-factor judges do, or more appropriate, LIVE TO DANCE did.

I have a friend who is interested in dance, we always chat about dance stuff, but he's in america and he always seems to have info on crews, he's taken classes by Brandon from IaMmE, and always tells me things about ReQuest and Parris, he told me that ReQuest were called back for the show, whether to believe him or not, I don't know, but I think Parris is successful enough that returning to compete is not something she needs as a title, however I'd love if Bubblegum, Duchesses or Sorority were to compete on the show, but if it is returning crews, its possible that would have to wait, I really love the idea of Parris being a judge aswell, she's done so well over the past few years and watching her is really inspirational, the recent video she did to beyonce's 711 is nothing but epicness, and I was looking at some HHI stuff from last year on her Instagram and it was amazing to see that in her show, she had parts from previous HHI performances, the thing that stood out was ReQuest, with Sam, who we haven't seen in a long while, doing part of their 2011 routine to Baby Boy, but it was more sexy... more amazing, I love that Parris isn't afraid to go with naughty :P
I find it weird that Sam and Ngavaine were both in that video, but when Parris introduced everyone that was part of The Royal Family for 2014, neither were in that...
anyway, back to ABDC as this is turning into a "how I love Parris so much" post.

ABDC, when it comes back, I'm hoping its in HD, It sucks for someone like myself who has to download the episodes and watch poor quality, maybe ABDC was recorded in 480p, I know it couldn't be streamed in HD on the ABDC site, and it didn't look HD on MTV UK's channel, so I'm really hoping that MTV up their game this time, and someone is kind enough to share the episodes, because being passionate about dance and then not being able to watch something really sucks.
I'm not even sure season 6 or 7 were aired here...
Another thing they need to improove on is camera angles, when Phillip Chbeeb and Moon are creating some brainbanging masterpeice, I want to see it from the front, not the side... an example is IaMmE's routine in the Nicki Minaj episode, they opened with something creative and the camera angle just kind of ruined it, if tutting is going on, brainging banging, some sort of illusion, don't ruin it by showing it from the side please MTV.

I'd love for D-trix to return as a judge, he was always fun and I feel as if he kind of needs to be there, he was a much better judge than Shane Sparks, and well... better than lil mama and JC, I think rather "big" celebrities, the judges should be well known dancers in the community, I think thats why D-trix worked so well, people knew who he was, people loved him for being funny, and people loved him for what he does.

Anyway, my small wishlist for the return:
HD recording equiptment, Miniotics, Bubblegum, Sorority, Duchesses, Parris, Phil, Moon, Cheeto, some more Dubstep :P

That reminds me actually, I remember when there was a show that makes fun of talent shows like x-factor, and the guy would sing dressed as a woman, and in the show he mentions "drum'n bass week" and it made me laugh, but... It makes me think, theres alot of genre's of music that we've not seen people dance to before, for example, when I'm in a dancey mood, I'll listen to hip hop, house or dubstep, but I'd like to see someone create something to the genre I find myself mostly listening to, Happy Hardcore...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivoMch-B_u4&feature=player_detailpage&x-yt-ts=1421914688&x-yt-cl=84503534#t=133

I personally think it would make a very interesting episode, seeing what crews could come up with for music like this would be interesting, I guess my question is, what would you have crews dance to?

Anyway, thats my post done, was going to post some weeks back but it was 4am when I started typing up, bye bye 8DUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375626205918435206.post-91551385089185072552014-08-20T13:48:00.000-07:002014-08-20T13:48:15.529-07:00Hip Hop International & Step Up 5: All In.So, I'm SOOOO tired at the moment, I haven't been blogging about Got To Dance as... well, I forgot it had started, I think my sister started recording the episodes on Sky so I'll have to go there at some point and catch up on the episodes (I think theres only 2 so far)
Anyway, I'm tired because me and a few friends spent the night in the Cinema watching Jumanji, Hook, Mrs Doubtfire and Alladin, then me and 1 friend sat around until 9:20am and I got to watch Step Up All In finally.
I decided that I wanted to type out what I thought of Hip Hop International this year, which was interesting.
I didn't realise that The Royal Family wasn't entering this year but had their own show, but it was nice to see Bubblegum, Sorority and Duchesses perform, So I'm going to type up what I thought of each routine and then write anything else I feel I wanna say about others... so.

Bubblegum:
The opening was lovely, good choreo and they look cute this year and the little guy was cute aswell, I enjoyed the music that was used and they were dancing to 2ne1 aswell, one of my fav tracks by 2ne1 ;0 I loved all of the choreo, just the ending was a little dissapointing, the Nicole Sherzinger part was the bit I probably liked the least, not because I didn't like the choreo for it, I just don't like her cover of I Will Surviva that much x: still cute, hard hitting, and I enjoyed it more than whoever came 1st in the junior division.

Sorority:
I always love watching Sorority, I usually like watching Kiel but he's left now so now we have Zacc who is from Ireland, opening was good and hard but I feel as if... throughout the whole routine the music changes so frequently to a point where I feel as if parts aren't lasting long enough, 2012 sorority had used 3 songs, 2013 I think 5 were used, and this routine uses 8 / 9 tracks... changing between styles so frequently throughout a song can become a bit of a mess.
However, again, still got more enjoyment out of this than whoever was in 1st again.
My favourite parts were probably Ruthy glitching out to No Diggity, and the girl pulling the thing out of the mouth leading to the beyonce section.
(Oh and the reggae part where the girl was blindfolded ((notlitterally) and they crawled across the floor)

Duchesses:
Ok, less music which is good, only 2 tracks less but still, This routine had somewhat a bit of tutting / vogue, like a mixture between 2 and I love that but the opening I wish they had did what they had did at SDNZ where they walk slowly instead of the fast movements~
Loved when the guy was sitting on the "Thrown" and was sort of tutting / vogueing with all the girls around him, I didn't like their hair, preferred how it was at SDNZ too lol.
The fast to slow movements to the opening of the beyonce section were cool, then the part when they were on the floor was cool and used their hips and it looked sexy.
The end section with the Krump was sweet and I think the ending done it for me, the way they all slay each other and its like they're cutting each others neck with the sword sound... It worked really well. though the last girl looked as if she was thrown a bit too hard haha.

Right so... Step Up 5: All In.
I was expecting so much better than this, boring romance meh... The movie had its fun bits like the relationships between Violet and Chad, I think Parris playing violet was good, I loved her character, when he was standing behind her and she was like "ewww gross" it was hilarious.
The sudden outbursts into Dance was incredibly cheesey
"Yo homie, get out our club.... no... ok lets settle with a dance battle" was a bit odd =3= Its like breaking out into song in Glee.
Parris' character was probably my favourite, and the guy who liked her, then it was Vladd (or chadd)
and Jaja's character (forget what her characters name was) but damn... their little robot love story was cute haha, The movie had a few moments where I was thinking "I wish this was choreographed by Parris only"
I think the dubstep video... where they were all in lab coats was probably my favourite routine in the movie and the choreography looked like it was made by Parris.
I personally would have gotten rid of Ryan Guzman, this was suppose to be with all my favourite step up characters... he's not that great I think, I think he's only there as eye candy, and think the guy from Step Up 3 is hotter so... they could have had better eye candy.
Take out Briana Evigan too... also... wtf
The competition in the movie had Poreotics appear like... 3 times, I was hoping they'd appear more often, also the girls from Season 7 of ABDC but with Jaja, It was kind of fun pointing out all the dancers I knew of but still... I would have prefered a Step Up movie with:
IaMmE (all of IaMmE) and better brainbanging, this movie had Phillip Chbeebs abdc routines copied and pasted and some from his videos over the pass few years
more Poreotics... Jabbawockees, all of The Royal Family (or atleast more members)
could have had Parris as the main character because her acting came off better than Ryan Guzman and the chick from SU2.
Also, I would have had Les Twins rather than the twins that are in the movie... I was hoping Step Up 5 would go out with a bang with all these crews that we've come to love over the years, and thought there would be more choreography by Parris and Phillip Chbeeb... but there wasn't enough Brainbanging or Parris choreo =3=
Eh... the last routine stood out because of the bits of brainbanging and so did that 1 dubstep song that I think Parris choreographed, I wanted more dance... but not in the way that people randomly break into it in a club and they all come out of no where to battle.
Step Up 5 was aiiiiiight, still prefer Step Up 3, but this did have a few good parts.
and thats what I think ;0Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375626205918435206.post-6769519110261976812014-06-10T08:15:00.000-07:002014-06-10T08:15:11.187-07:00BGT Final. So I wasn't in over the weekend, out in london and hadn't watched BGT, so I'm currently catching up on the final now, and Addict Initiative are first, so lets see if they've stepped it up a bit to a point where I actually like it.
ok... that... I really didn't get it, and Simon is standing, its like... lets all dance to 8ths notes when theres no 8th notes in the audio :V yeaaaa.... grrrrreat.
I prefer old Addict... It was good, they did good footwork... now its all "lets stand still and just move our arms to dramatic music" instead of dancing to good music like they use to.
I WAS SO IMPRESSED WHEN THEY WERE ON GTD FOR THE FIRST TIME, I don't like the music, I don't like the look, and I REALLY do not like the stupid voice over the track like "NEVER" and "LET ME GO" and "OOO I'M HERE DRAMA" they can do better... I've seen it D:<
also... don't scream with happiness when Simon compares to diversity? how many times have Diversity gone HHI and won? eh? 0? oh... thats coz they aren't good and they only won because there was kids in the dance crew.

Ok, so Yanis and his crew were good, I liked it, there were a few bits where I thought "maybe shouldn't do that" like... being a gay guy, I should be ok with that... like crawling on the floor, but... it was good ... the choreo was really good in places, just the floor work was a bit odd for me to watch, and there was a bit of hip hop, which I wanted to see...
how can Simon like Addict Initiative but not these? its odd, this was sexy / hot... and the tall one is sexy, but... it was a bit girly, nothing wrong with that, but... ionno.
I'd love to see them take off the heels and krump and do hip hop, I would SOOOOO love to see that.
but I like them, they's good o3o

Ok so thats all the dance for now =3= guess will have to wait for Got To Dance, not sure when it starts~~ I look forward to it :)Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375626205918435206.post-39548168618141531562014-06-03T06:33:00.000-07:002014-06-03T06:33:13.045-07:00Britains Got Talent. So, watching through Britains Got Talent again, catching up as I was busy last week... I watched like... 2 episodes, so i'll type this as I watch, just finished watching episode 12 and Cartel were on it, which... are by far... my most favourite UK dance crew, they had good music (unlike the usual crews) yeah there was a bit of a hiccup with the flip over the one guy (which I guess was stolen from Quest) but they need to push to get to the finals I suppose, but it was good, they had a little bit of tutting, which I liked, some nice waving patterns, they had Drake... which is good :D this is another dance crew I think could audition for ABDC if it still existed and get pretty far.
I think they're MUCH MUCH BETTER than Diversity, the older guy... he can keep up... so what if he's a bit older? theres other dancers out there that are as old as him and... he's kinda cute too o3o
but yeah... I'ma add them to my list of favourites <3

Ok so another dance group, Yanis Marshell, Arnaud & Mehdi, being gay myself, this makes me so incredibly happy, they're a bit cheesey but DAMN they can dance, Yanis is good at listening to audio and picking out all the correct sounds to dance to, I would love to see him do hip hop, would ABSOLUTELY love to see all 3 of them do something with Parris Goebel, and the tall one out of the 3 is really hot o3o, me likes that beard, So... yea, I'm kind of hoping they win, but I guess i'll see within the next few hours of catching up haha.
Love them :)

Kings & Queens:
this was odd for me, because it was like they were trying to be cool and be like a dance crew instead of latin dance, was odd... I liked their choice in music though... electro house <3 o3o and big room house... the Mysterious Girl part was... just like a dance crew would use for a comedy effect.

Kieran Lai:
Ok, so he's the kid who's appeared on Got To Dance a few times, and think he works in the dance studio nearby that I've been... curious to go to for the past few years since it opened, and he has potential, he's not the best but I think i could learn alot from him, I like tutting, he does tutting, I like krump, he does krump, popping too... I facebook stalked and we have 2 friends in common haha so perhaps he went school with the 2 people I know, I do like him, he's good and stuff just, I think he has the potential to be better, his does wavey patterns to certain parts (and i noticed this in his first audition) when he could be dancing to the 8th notes in a song, dubstep... if theres a section with 8ths, go ahead and dance to those 8ths instead of doing some wavey patterns to them, it'd work alot better, and with the krump stuff... pick hip hop :P
Yea he's a better dance than me, well... I can't dance for shit haha, I can do some tutting, like... the smallest amount of whacking, I think I'm good at waving, I just need to work on doing things with my legs haha, anyway yea... he's good but, I prefer Mindtrick, Pacman, Moon~~

Paddy & Nico:
Ok, first time I saw these... I really couldn't stop laughing, I was laughing for half hour straight, It was so unexpected, she just said how she has had some rib problems but... damn, that was still amazing... its so unbelievable... really amazing.
Its odd but... just... damn, all those tricks were incredible haha, I think there was a bit of a hiccup in there and she didn't do a few things, there was one part where Nico was about to bend her over his leg but then they didn't, so carried on through it, was just ... incredible, absolutely amazing :D
awww bless her, she seems really sad because she couldn't do alot of the tricks, but she should be so proud of herself.

Oh ok, so ... I thought the final was the Saturday just gone but its this Saturday, so I guess i'll be back then, then anything else I see, like SYTYCD or Got To Dance, i'll be back to type those up 8D baiiii

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375626205918435206.post-5044970937825280582014-05-27T14:06:00.000-07:002014-05-27T14:06:15.071-07:00BGT.So, this year on britains got talent, some things have bugged me, mainly Addict Initiative because... well, it has members of Addict, firstly... Simon didn't like Addict a few years ago, and when the guys were dancing he said it was like watching David and Matt Lucas on Little Britain, which was unfair...
I remember Addict being good on Got To Dance (this is when they werent picked for the finals on GTD) and they reminded me alot of sorority, then a year later they auditioned for Got To Dance again but with these long black coats (or purple, I forget) the point is... what they are now... I don't like...
They were one of my favourite UK dance crews, and thats a difficult thing to be because I don't have many, they've gone from great, dancing to good music, to whatever they were when they auditioned again... not sure what it was... to ... well a mess, yea Simon Cowell might like it, but he likes Diversity too, theres better out there than Diversity, and Addict was better than diversity, now they're all good vs evil dancing to Dramatic music then adding sound effects to make it seem cool...
I'd much prefer if they danced to rnb, hip hop and dubstep... well... maybe thats not them but it'd be more appealing to my eyes and alot cooler imo, you could still have snow white and the witch...
Status pulled off Alice In Wonderland really well on GTD season 1 and kept true to what they are.

The 2 kids from last nights show, they look familiar, I can't remember what crew they use to be in, but their first audition amazed me, 2nd... not so much, it had its moments, but wasn't nearly as good as the first one they did.

Mini Moves were ok, but I think their routine's on GTD were alot better, they picked out good rhythms to dance to, tonights ... there were a few bits where they were posing and I just thought "eh... stop posing and dance" and i liked them on GTD.

lol, so i'm sitting with the door open listening to the TV to see if Addict Initiative go through, I'm actually kind of wishing the broadway girl would go through because of how let down I feel by Addict... so just waiting...
and Addict are through... lol... yea, kind of pissed, luckily though, So You Think You Can Dance will be starting tomorrow and I heard something about dance crew auditions, so theres that to look forward to then Got To Dance starts in the summer, so alot to look forward to... then shortly after that we'll see some real dance competition as Hip Hop International starts.
seriously... I'd love to see Diversity go to HHI, and then score less points than the crews that have appeared on Got To Dance infront of Ashley Banjo, It'd just be hilarious... I don't want you to think "thats horrible, whats he done to you" I never said he's a bad person, its just like...
watching Street Dance, then watching Step Up 3 really opened my eyes to better dance, I think if Diversity were to compete in HHI, and somehow came up with an amazing routine, I think the US, Phillipines, New Zealand, Canada and Japan would place infront.
I look at crews all the time and think "I wonder if" well... I imagine stuff like... if America's Best Dance Crew was still going, then Addict would have a shot (old Addict) and so would Ruff Diamond (my fav UK dance crew) they wouldn't win, but I think they'd get pretty far in America's Best Dance Crew if it were still going, Addict Initiative... this in ABDC... probably would be voted off in the first week, yea they have theatre but its not as good as what they use to be doing.

Anyway, some good dance coming in the next few weeks, I look forward to it ;0 Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375626205918435206.post-74237905398894888772013-12-19T00:19:00.000-08:002013-12-19T00:19:16.865-08:00HHI and Other Stuff. So, I'm not going to link to videos for this, but will just discuss, It's been a long while since I last posted because theres not been much to look at, sure theres been some cool videos but I usually like reviewing routines and stuff on TV shows, thought I'd post about HHI, seeing as I done it last year but didn't do it this year, kinda just been busy with other stuff.
So, lets get started.
Bubblegum:
Bubblegums semi finals performance was great, I remember I was on skype with a friend and I watched it, and was smiling and impressed with the routine alot, the whacking in the beginning was cool, then the krumping was amazing, was really impressed by the krump V: then there was that footwork to the house song that was cool, and then there was like a sexy part, and I was like "wow, they're young but thats really brave" there was a few things I would have liked kept in the final peice where the one at the front does the leg thing, then the 2 behind do it and so on, but I also liked the final peice in place of this where they were all leaning on each other and moved up and down, it was amazing, I do feel somehow the choreo for the Single Ladies part in the final peice was lacking because it just seemed to be clapping.
the whacking to the electro house part in the final peice was done nicely, although one of the girls seemed to be a little far to the left, but I loved it, was amazing.

Sorority:
So, Sorrority's semi final peice also wow'd me, I had seen their routine for SDNZ and was impressed anyway, then it was removed, then... seeing the semi final peice was amazing for me, I like seeing all the little differences and was sad to see my favourite piece from the semi final go in the final.
the part I'm talking about is just after the lyrics "some of dem say they gazza RAH" and they tilt their head, move it slowly and then they did a hand piece which worked marvelously and the "TSH" sound in the song, they moved their hand up to it and it was SOOOO effective, seeing the semi final routine and hearing the crowd go wild for that part was amazing, it was replaced with them leaning forward and coming up slowly in the final piece, which I didn't like so much, the rest of the choreo for the final was amazing, the whacking TRF do is always amazing and they're so in sync with each other its ridiculous, the 2nd song was cool, the choreo was FRICKING AMAZING and SEXY AS HELL, the chest moving in that part was sooooo siiiiiiick, loved it, I was a little dissapointed with the following part where they pulled the masks up, well not that actual part itself, that was amazing because the girl (Kyra i think?) she has Crazy eyes... not in a bad way, she seems funny too (sdnz performance gone with the wind fabulous part)
It was just how they all moved to the right as one, it didn't feed me with amazment, I think they probably should have done some choreo to the vocals rather than just... sliding right.
not much a fan of the J-lo song but hey, still entertaining <3 Kiel is amazing... if I could dance like anybody it'd be him, I like the way he can switch it up between feminine and manly :P

The Royal Family:
SHUT THE FRONT DOOR this was amazing... opening with a song that... made me laugh because I had watched the "how to sing like" video by Nigahiga and he was singing the drake song... that opening... it was sick, its like "we're here, we're gonna getcha" and somewhat scary, then BOOM that choreo was amazing, I loved the way Parris then looks at the crowd and nods her head like "yea, we're here doing our thing, WHUT D:<" and then they all swing their arms, and its soooooo in sync and amazing :D then they create a thrown for that guy... which was sexy, then all go out crawling and this was also very sexy, Ori's awesome, I'm so glad she was a part of this because she wasn't at HHI last year, and she's my 2nd fav dancer next to Parris, those ropes... damn... some more whacking / vogue'ing, maybe... tutting, seems similar was all amazing, then they create the crown... which was awesome, then we get that awesome housing by TRF to Big Bad Wolf, I always love it when they do the house stuff, wish I could move my feet like that D:
then some reggae, and cool choreo, and Parris doing some sexy stuff with girl from sorority and Bianca (ionno the girls name) and then they pause, and the opening to PLAY starts and they all move SOOOO slow, tbh... I think Parris could go to HHI and get away with doing their Candy routine for their HHI routine, anyway... one thing the HHI youtube captures in this segment that The Palace's video does not is the guy walking in from the right really slow, which is amazing...
next was the krump peice, which Ori seems to be incharge of and DAAAAMN, ever since these guys started doing krump, i've loved it, they do it better than Street Kingdom (sorry SK) and then Kiel comes in and BAM, theres that Manliness I was talking about, and then BAM again, he goes back to feminine for lead up to the ending, I think the beginning of the beyonce part is a little confusing, the way they all walk forward is sexy as heck but then... kiel goes, the next 2 follow, and onwards, I can see the pattern going backwards like a wave, but I think it can be somewhat confusing if you don't know where to look, but damn, the following choreo is good, then we have that small movement with the hips swaying, which is very effective :P then more awesome choreo <3 and then... the ending...
the boss thing, and the sound that ends it, and the pose to finish it... its just wow... fucking ace.

some other bits~
ElecoldXhot's performance looks REALLY fun, its really fun to watch.
Flip's choreo seemed somewhat messy, just seemed to be the tricks that were the wow moments, how this beat bubblegum I have no idea.
Sorority's performance was better than Sol-T Shine, Sol-T's performance seemed like a follow up to last years routine, and some bits felt like some of the choreo was the same, how they beat sorority confuses the front door out of me, and same with last year, sorority's footwork for where have you been ... that alone was better than sol-t's performance.
Brotherhood's performance was amazing, I don't know if sorority should be first or brotherhood, I'd say sorority but i think i'd pick them because I'm a sorority fan lol, one thing i will mention also about sorority's performance, the pussycat dolls part, seemed kinda boring, only interesting part there was kyra's leg going up.

So, Step Up 5 next year, apparently Parris is a choreographer and damn... it will have alot of good people in it, when So You Think You Can Dance was on, they were saying about how Emilio will be in it (sorry if I've not typed that properly) and I also saw a pic of Adam Sevani with with Jaja, so Jaja will be in it too, Chadd... also Phillip will be in it, hoping Moon too, and hopefully Chachi coz haven't seen her in ages, and Brandon also, I also want to see other members of the Royal Family, like Kiel, Oriana, Kyra, Bianca... just to see TRF in it would be amazing, all my favourite dancers in one movie... what I'm expecting is Phillip and Moon to make some crazy 30 person brain bang, some krump... I want amazing krump by Parris, that hard hitting RF choreo...
Robotix, Popping... damn, I'm excited.
I watched Step Up 4 again recently and... yea it is dissapointing, 3 was a much better movie and had much better choreo, I'm hoping they don't fuck up with this one... if theres tutting, or a brain bang, show it from the front, TUTTING is not good to look at from a side view, unless people are back to back doing tutting... to make something where it should be recorded from the side, ABDC always fucks up, Dance Showdown when watching a Mike Song peice they fucked up coz I couldn't see that awesome mike song tutting... LXD fucked up ... I think the IaMmE episode had some weird camera angles... I don't want weird camera angles for favourite style of dance D:<
Jon M Chu better not mess it up, or i'll be mad :3
I'm hoping that... if theres a part where Chadd does robot stuff again with more people, its better than what we saw in Step Up 4... he's a treasure and he deserves more than a 20 second scene where he's a cop, he's awesome... so treat him awesomely!!!
uuuuugh, I really can't wait D8 Parris, Chadd, IaMmE, Poreotics... Javbbawockkeez better be there too, and Quest, I saw a pic with one of the guys from Elektrolytes too so maybe they're in it, I wouldn't be suprised if all the ABDC winners are in the movie, so a reunion would be awesome.
and when they release it to DVD... I'd really love to see like... extra stuff, routines that crews have done and all that, I think crews should do that on their youtubes... like... IaMmE, Poreotics, other winners should record in their studios their ABDC routines, so we can see the routines from the front, I also think this should be done with HHI routines, like... I'd really like to see ReQuest's routines from HHI, and all that :P
anyway, thats my post for now.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375626205918435206.post-74969724436736060692013-05-26T03:35:00.001-07:002013-05-26T03:38:08.886-07:00BGT Tonight :DSo I'm hoping that Britains Got Talent has something to offer tonight, It kind of sucks because... This time of year, ABDC would be on, I'm hoping someone can take it over and maybe we get a late one in fall.
anyway, I thought i'd post some cool videos on here to keep up a bit with the posting o3o I cant be bothered to use the "insert a video" thing with blogspot as It usually always comes up in the middle and doesnt look right, so i'ma just paste the links that I've liked over the past few months o3o.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOcjpMi0obw
So heres another Jaja video, this time with Tight Eyes, the reason I like it alot is because Tight Eyes doesnt seem the type to do this stuff, and by this stuff I mean connecting, which I was REALLY impressed with, It's cool, kind of romantic, sad, beautiful.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7V5IQzHFrBY
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2BOcqYTc3w
Pacman & Moon in "Going Down" 1 & 2... showing off their tutting skills, and pacmans waving skills...
Damn he can wave really well, I always love seing Pacman doing tutting because its always mixed with his waving, and feels like a new sort of tutting style, and both of them can do finger tutting, I've tried it with fingers but the one's next to my pinky always shake and go weird x: but yea... awesome videos.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=niuD7yNhta0
Gfam... I didnt like the whole of this routine but it did deserve first place, I love their dubstep choreo, It's cool, tight, fast, I'd love to learn something like it, theres another part in there where they're all dancing very fast, which I like alot...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zX-j1pPsQIU
Koutei Sennin, another cool one... though its really cool, I would say you dont see much dancing as a whole.
cool body popping and stuff, some creepy atmosphere... the ending is cool but not as good as I thought it'd be because It was pretty much a repeat of the first part... It'd be interesting to see them do more Choreo, all standing up rather than the ones on the floor >.> 2nd place... Is deserving.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1oFI7khOhtg
This ones kinda a cute j-pop song, Its cheesey but... the choreography .. I really like it, the voice is a little anoyying but hey thats J-pop for you, but yea, some good choreo, I really like it :D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_Nz8t3vNo8
and heres one more, and the last, by boy group "Super Junior M" which includes cool hairstyles, and some cool choreography :) so enjoy :D

OOOH and forgot this one
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwB8wuHi76s
Another with Pacman & Jaja, another thats romantic, but they have alot of connecting and its really cool.
The way Pacman see's things is really cool, he's awesome, I'm looking forward to a new IaMmE video o3o Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375626205918435206.post-13164561561022020832013-05-24T02:32:00.002-07:002013-05-24T02:32:39.611-07:00Devil's Den

So I thought I'd post this and explain everything I like about it.
Ok so, reasons I love this video, she opens it with some extreme robotics, which is cool, and hits all those notes and patterns in the song, and the way she moves her hips also at about 30 seconds in is so cool and sexy, and the footwork in the opening is also epic.
then we got some other bits, fast movements and a little bit of tutting, the tutting makes it a cool piece for me personally because I'm a big fan of tutting, I would say this is one of my favs so far this year, I cant remember any of the other dance videos I've seen this year that made me go wow, I would love to see all of IaMmE doing this routine... It'd be cool to see 6 people do it at once... Though, each time I've seen IaMmE perform a piece the past year theres been no Chachi... So i guess the other 5 would do it.
anyway, thats my post for today, I'll try and keep posting more and stuff :PUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375626205918435206.post-41883539664300397292013-05-17T14:54:00.005-07:002013-05-17T14:54:33.732-07:00BGT: any episode so far.So i've been watching Britains Got Talent the pass few weeks, and the only crews i remember is Shockerella's... I think perhaps ITV replaced their music... not sure, as TV shows do until lives which sucks...
and the other being some weird guys dancing to classical music, which was very odd x: one of the judges said it was original, but hey i've seen crews dance to classical music before so... perhaps not.
I'm still waiting for that wow moment though D: which hasnt come.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375626205918435206.post-78810736389427872142013-03-17T15:24:00.002-07:002013-03-17T15:24:41.879-07:00Got To Dance FINAL :VOk, so was a pretty good show tonight, was dissapointed with alot of what the judges said but... hey D: ionno...

Mini Moves:
I guess its fair to say they have a street vibe with some of the moves they had done, I really enjoyed it, I think it was a step up from their semi final peice, the only thing i dislike is the afro's and outfits, I know its their thing but it just bugs me somewhat, the peice was fun, athletic, those rolls they do on the floor look like they hurt alot, there were a few syncing issues but i'll look pass it because its the final and I only noticed syncing issues twice. also going to rate out of 10 :D
8/10.

Rory:
cute, I liked the routine alot, however the semi final peice was alot better, I didnt like the boxing type thing he had going on, anoyyed me a little, would have loved to see him dancing to some wubwub's or electro, but he's a good kid, and better than Tom, but i'll get onto that when i type what i say aboot Tom~
7/10.

Gymtasia:
These somehow got into the final 3, which ... is odd... just very odd... my sister skipped this (we had it recorded) so yea, missed the whole thing.
???/10

Lukas Mcfarlane:
odd, i almost typed Seth Mcfarlane lol, he's really good and i'm glad he won, I think i have a bit of a crush on him, he's got a nice body and a cute face, he dances with a passion and as my sister said "he looks like he's always crying when he dances" which... isnt sad... kind of nice coz it lets us see the passion, did he do a bit of krumping? <33 ___O: i liked.
9/10

Godson:
It was good, I'd love to see him in a battle with Tight Eyes, that would be interesting... the maker of krump against godson, i wonder who would win the "who has a better body contest" also, anyway, the peice seemed cool, tight, he ripped his shirt off __O: ionno, too many flips, I dont like seing too many flips in a peice unless ... well unless its Ruff Diamond or a BBoy crew.
7/10

Tom:
Ok so the judges gave him 3 gold stars, but Rory's peice was better, and they gave Rory reds, I dont know about this kid... people seem to like him, I dont... I'm sure he's a nice guy and all but hey, if you're on TV you're going to get judged.
5/10?

IMD:
I liked their semi final peice alot better, and in this... they were more in sync, but it seemed a bit sloppy, there were parts where some were doing some things, and others were doing different, then there were parts where they were running around, if you need to move to a different place, goddamnit dance your way over there, some cool parts, some ... others parts ionno
6/10

Antics:
Agree with what 2 of the judges said, It wasnt as good as their semi final, I didnt like it much, I... dont know again... they just seem like they're trying to be other crews, krumping last year, tutting like poreotics, ionno... I didnt like what they were doing.
5/10

Rhys:
again, another performance my sister skipped through...
???/10

Ruff Diamond:
Fella's, you are waaaaaay up there with American crews, I hope you do well at HHI this year, I think you will, It was pretty much epic and this is the only UK crew that i think could go on ABDC and get far, even though abdc doesnt exist anymore, I think they can do well in good dance comps.
this is probably the only crew that does alot of tricks and i dont find that there are too many tricks, It was good, they're tight, I loved the double black flip last week, they dance to good music too, It was awesome.
9 & a half out of 10

so i do this always, and will always do it.
Diversity's Performance:
I dont like that... they're considered the best, people probably thought this was the best of the night, but i think Ruff Diamond's performance was much better, I find that theres usually too many guys in Diversity (10 or 11?) but atleast they toned it down, there were a few parts in this routine that made me like it, the opening I didnt like much, the dubstep part was ok, but ionno, I want to see them go to HHI, just to see how well they would do, when i say i dont like diversity my sister usually says "shutup" but when i showed her Ruff Diamonds HHI performance, she asked if Diversity have ever been to HHI, and i said no.
so they cant enter with the group they got for HHI, because its different divisions, kids, varsity, and adults, so they would have to ditch a few members if they entered, I'd REALLY like to see where they'd come in HHI, Ruff Diamond would probably go further in HHI against diversity, oh god i hope one day they do.
(maybe they're scared of bumping into phillipine allstars at hhi, Ooo burn)

I watched Street Dance 2 last night, It was interesting, It was much better than the first but this seemed as if it was more bassed around Solo's, they're a crew and suppose to be doing stuff together, but it opens with the guy as a soloist, then theres not alot of battle stuff throughout, the first main dance was like... 52 minuets in, This felt like Step Up 3 in a way that... the main character was american, and hot, but also falls in love with a girl where he practices with her, and she doesnt turn up to the final dance off, and then she's finally there to do a final number, only Step Up 3 is better, Street Dance 1 was a step up 1 rip off, girl doesnt fit in, girl goes to dance school, people dont like the dance, girl makes crew and mixes it up a bit with the 2 styles.
street dance 2 & step up 3, hot guy falls in love with girl, guy does bad stuff, girl gets mad at guy, girl turns up for final performance, they win the battle.

anyway, Britains Got Talent will be starting soon :V Yeey, again, i dont wanna offend people, I just say what i think about stuff and whatever :3
kloveyoubaiiiii~ Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375626205918435206.post-63894593271462799212013-03-11T13:51:00.000-07:002013-03-11T13:52:04.801-07:00Got To Dance Semi Finals Week 5.Ok, this week was very interesting, it was a good show, alot of good talent, but... dissapointing in some parts i guess, so heres my input / thoughts etc

Mindtrick:
He was really good, i guess his first performance was better, this kind of felt the same but he added some other bits in there, his tutting looks the same as the tutting he did in the first audition, I love this kid but it was a bad move, make do more tutting where you stretch your arms a bit rather than the close to the chest type tutting, then he did it again on some slow part of the song, but hey, for me, the slow part worked better than the faster part.

Juicy:
Best kid crew this show has ever had, I was impressed with it so much, I didnt like much of what they were wearing, but they hit hard, it was dumb of Ashley Banjo to say about their syncing seing as... he's part of diversity, but yea, I was impressed, they danced to hip hop, like a crew should.

Gymtasia:
I dont... even remember much about it, but yea...

Leon & Dotty:
they were... really good, i dont usually like this sort of stuff, but it flowed well, and their performance was really strong, I really liked it.

Shun:
Really good, I dont usually like watching Bboy stuff, SuperCrew is my least fav crew out of the abdc winners, but this was really good, he's really creative :3

Ruff Diamon:
Ok, when i watched their HHI performance from 2011, I wasnt that impressed, and then their HHI performance 2012, which was used for their first audition really impressed me, THIS routine... was... somewhat epic, alot of tricks, maybe too many, but it was done in a way that i thought "Wow, they could go to HHI this year, and win" and would be really happy if they won GTD2013, much better than Antics, that double flip was crazy, i know he fell on his butt but, oh god it was epic, while watching I remember just thinking "wow, this crew would be able to to compete on ABDC and go far" aswell.
oh god i hope they win.

Ruff Diamond went through good.... Gymtasia... really? was expecting Shun or Mindtrick =3= kinda... meh =3= whatever, right i'ma add Juicy & Ruff Diamond to my list on the side :3 Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375626205918435206.post-85931586806994478712013-03-04T03:30:00.000-08:002013-03-04T03:30:56.808-08:00Got To Dance Semi Finals Week 4.Ooo pretty long post this week.
Ok, this week was pretty interesting for me, first, on the ad break before the show started, I was pretty impressed with something diversity did in the ad, I didnt like the tutting they did about their head because I was doing that well over a year ago, and with them doing it, it just doesnt look right, but the part after the over the head part was pretty good.
Anyway, on with the talent.

Antics:

I'll be honest, they're strong, athletic but... alot of the routine felt like they were trying to be like someone else, one did a drop onto his back, and it wasnt that smooth, it felt like a rip off version of what Ryan Conferido (Quest Crew) usually does, and the other parts seemed somewhat messy, and i knew the one direction thing was coming, it was a bit predictable. and then they jumped off stage like people use to do in ABDC, so for me, It wasnt that great, and last year they were tutting, which felt like I was watching white guys do Poreotics, but not as clean, or as fun.

Amour:
This was prerecorded, I cant remember why, I thought it may have been an age thing, like, the girl was out passed her bed time or whatever, but then it showed her in the audience after they showed her prerecorded routine, so it was odd, the routine was nice, made me happy, though I did go to the kitchen and get more pizza D: and missed some of it. She's adorable and really good for an 8 year old, probably the best of the night i'd say :)

Gaana Rajas:
I cant remember everything in this routine, but it was interesting to watch, it wasnt the typical boring bollywood stuff that i've seen over the years on BGT / GTD, it was more powerful, however, i dont think it was as powerful as other stuff, It did have that street feel to it though, maybe because of the power they had or whatever, was pretty good.

Javier & Julie:
I agree with what Aston said (i think it was Aston that said it?) Julie is uch better, Javier is a bit sloppy and not as elegant as Julie, but it seemed nice, its a bit odd that Javier looks like a nicer looking version of her husband / boyfriend, javier is sexy o3o it was pretty good also :)

One Step Ahead:
It felt like they were one step behind tbh, dont get me wrong, I really appreciate that they're in sync, and i loved that they were in sync, the cheesey smiles though put me off, and the routine wasnt that great, however, I think if they were a street crew, with the right choreographer, they could be a powerful street crew because of how in sync they are.

Godson:
_______O: He's nice, always i'm on my blog, i'm going to compare and stuff, he's like the british version of tight eyez, but Tight Eyez is much better, Obviously because Tight Eyez created Krump, and ever since that video i watched that he did with Jaja (IaMmE) I really love him now, so Godson's routine was interesting, the slow part he did though was a bit odd for me, he's athletic, sexy, got a nice body :3 ya, I'd like to see him in a crew, mainly because that other krump crew wasnt that great, I think Godson would be good at Chreographing a crew.

So Godson & Antics were voted through, I knew this would happen tbh, I predict next week that Mindtrick (which is my fav dancer) and Ruff Diamond will be going through.

Now the special part of the night, when Ashley said last week "SuperCrew" I thought he meant ABDC 2 winners, but he said "A Super Crew" with Methods Of Movement, Unity UK, Boadicea from Got To Dance Season 3, and Season 1 winner Akai.

So firstly, the routine was good, Boadicea have gotten better, their parts were nice, girly parts in a routine is always good coz i can be all "you go gurl" Unity UK's stuff was good aswell, they've also gotten better imo, however, I still really dislike Methods Of Movement, having Crazy Popper in the middle and 5 others BBoying around him just looks weird, It's like giving your newphew a bag of action man figures and putting one barbie doll in there, It doesnt fit.
Ok now for the best part... Aka... I was very impressed, take out methods of movement and i would have been very very very happy with this routine, take off 2 of the very's and thats how i feel about it. Akai has gotten much better, He's better than Ashley Banjo, and i think he could give Adam G Sevani a run for his money, the way he was moving was very slick, and the tricks he did were really cool, I was really impressed by the whole routine as a whole minus MOM.
tbh, If others like MOM, fair enough, its just not for me.

anyway, thats this weeks done, goddamnit I hope ABDC gets taken over or something, Jabbawockeez get alot of money, cant they like... take it over and have a member from crews judge, so like, maybe 1 of the Jabbawockeez as a judge, have Dtrix as a judge too, one from SuperCrew i suppose, and then the 4th judge could be special guests from each winning crews, so one week they have Moon as a special judge, next they have Jet Li, week after Hiro, week after that Chachi... you know :)

I usually look forward to ABDC starting a few weeks after Got To Dance but kinda sucks that I dont have anything to look forward to over the next few weeks <:

anyway, thats all for now :DUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375626205918435206.post-14925263414046970552013-02-26T06:46:00.000-08:002013-02-26T10:22:40.816-08:00Got To Dance Semi Final 3.Didnt watch this sunday as i was tired and couldnt be bothered to go
to my sisters, I instead went monday and watched it, I have to say, this
show was a pretty good one.
so lets begin.

Poison:
I
said i liked these, but I've gone off them, after watching their first
audition again and seing the girl do the one trick on her back while the
other girls just stood there doing nothing to "where have you been" it
was pretty dissapointing, they're all in heels... and they kept saying
heels, and Davina said heels, and the choreographer said heels, and
Ashley said heels, and Kimberly said heels, and Aston said heels, and we
also heard the word heels about 10 times in the VT, and then after,
when Davina showed what people were saying on twitter, we saw the word
heels about another 5 times >_> geeeh, the choreo for the semi
final was dissapointing, it didnt have nearly as much oomph as the first
did, they're from the same county i'm in (essex, so i wont shut up
D:< ((essexjoke?)) it just seemed... odd, and the syncing wasnt that
great.

Hash Tap:
seing as the program was
recorded, my sister thought it'd be a good idea to skip through these
girls performance, sorry ladies D:

Rory:
Now, I
didnt think he was that great in his first audition, but this was
Veeeeeeeeery impressive, his tricks were good, but too many tricks can
be bad, because then the performance feels more like a stunt than dance,
but he was good, had some good bboy stuff in there, he did a peice of
tutting, the tutting was ok, it just seemed like one of those tutting
peices where people havent done alot of tutting and dont know where to
put their hands next, but i still liked it alot, probably the best
routine in a semi final ever.

Wild G:
yeaaaa, i
didnt like it, It was... odd, the waving he did in the beginning part
felt weird for me, it wasnt really wavey, it was more like... I dont
know, I cant remember much of his performance.

IMD:
NOW
THIS was ALSO very impressive, Wild G helped choregraph their peice,
which was much better than his own peice, there were a few syncing
issues, and some bits where I was like "those people are doing that,
what the hell is that kid over thar doing?" but it was still good, the
tricks were done nicely, there were probably too many for my liking but i
still liked it.

G-Nome:
again, another my sister
skipped, sorry men :V theres nothing more a guy like me likes than guys
leaping around shirtless ___O: but yea, she skipped.

Kimberly Wyatt:
Ok so i gotta judge the judge, her new song is catchy, and i thought her choreography was better than diversity's so yaar :) job well done Kimberly :)

I'll try and post sooner with the next, does anyone actually read these? ionno... but whatever, i'll continue anyway, some point in the future I want to have a dance crew, or join The Royal Family / ReQuest / Misfits, either 3 would be a dream come true, maybe one day.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375626205918435206.post-11579392916228173652013-02-19T18:46:00.000-08:002013-02-19T18:46:35.685-08:00Got To Dance Semi Final 2again, short decription of what i thought of the routines and stuff.

Buckness Personified:
pretty
odd name, I'm not really a fan of krump unless ReQuest are doing it, it
would have been nice to see actual hip hop than a routine all with
dubstep, maybe thats why i dont like many UK crews, they dont usually
dance to hip hop =3=, anyway, some of Buckness Personified's visuals
were good.

Mechanikool:
the routine wasnt that
great, i didnt like his first audition or this, but this seemed somewhat
sloppy, he didnt really move correctly to make the broom look as if it
was pulling him about, It was more like he was just swinging it about to
the track, could have been done better, wasnt really a good animation
peice.

Mini Moves:
I thought these were amazing, i
usually dont like kid groups / crews because the judges judge them by
cuteness (even though they sit there and say they dont) the way their
routine was done was really cool, i cant remember what song they danced
to, but they hit sounds in the song that were what i'd expect from a
dance crew / group, It felt somewhat like more of a crew rather ...
ionno... whatever they are :)

Rhys:
I cant really remember what he did, but he's really talented, I'm not much of a contemperary fan.

(had to check the site because i forgot who else performed)

The Pulse Collective:
tap
/ street... yea... nothing says street more than the song they picked
to dance to, goddamnit, someone dance to some hip hop D: <
again, another routine i cant remember much of.

Momentum:
again...
another crew who uses the word street and doesnt dance to hip hop,
instead... lets use a movie soundtrack (is that whut it is? ionno) and
not be a street crew atall, believe it or not... you can mix theatre and
street together, and dance to hip hop.

hmmm,
Diversity's performance... ashley banjo in the middle mostly again, i
guess they've got better... it seemed more clean or whatever but yea,
ionno, it feels odd with how tall he is, i guess thats why he puts
himself in the middle, the singing part was weird, and the silly moves
with the microphones were incredibly cheesey, to any who like
diversity... go watch street dance, then go watch step up 3.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375626205918435206.post-74482329543330918352013-02-14T23:55:00.002-08:002013-02-14T23:56:28.089-08:00Got To Dance Semi Final 1So i forgot to post aboot this, so i'll just type up what i thought
of each performance, and in short coz... i cant be bothered to type alot
=3=

Lukas Mcfarlane:
He's pretty nice, his
performance was good, strong, I'd like to see him doing more street type
stuff rather than James Arthur's "impossible"... ugh i dislike that
version of the song =3=

Dance For Joy:
watching
them dance makes me feel happy, Its different and kind of cool, prooving
that people with dissabilities can achieve alot :D

Molly & Vitally:
meh
=3= I dont like this type of dancing, it could be done to a point that i
liked it but... I cant remember anything of their routine.

Notorious:
they're
trained by some chicks from last year, I think they're better than the
people who taught them, or atleast... the choreographers gave them
better choreo than themselfs last year, It was pretty cool, i liked.

Collective Ent:
boring,
It was more commercial than street, but... ionno, Sorority's
performances are like commercial but feel more street because their
choreo is very tight and hard.
I cant remember much of Collective Ent's performance apart from alot of people standing in a line across the stage.

Tom:
I'm not suprised he got through, he's young... and with any show ever "OMG YOUNG KID, MUST GO THROUGH COZ IS YOUNG WOO"
for
me, I didnt like the performances either of time, Its not that i dont
think he's talented, its just... I wish he'd listen to sounds in the
song and make up choreo to those sounds, rather than it feel like a
freestyle to a song he's not heard before.

thats ma input V: opinions :VUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375626205918435206.post-21716548100274610732013-02-03T07:50:00.001-08:002013-02-03T07:50:23.128-08:00Got To Dance 7 (week 4)So there was only one episode last sunday, and there wasnt really anything i could remember that was worth posting about, then remembered that was some tall, bald guy... fierce... very fierce, he was all "vogue vogue vogue" and awesome, other than that, nothing else :3 I'll probably post later because i think its the final episode and we get to see who's going through to semi finals :3Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375626205918435206.post-27498348935267506842013-01-21T21:52:00.001-08:002013-01-21T21:52:25.328-08:00Got To Dance 5 - 6 (week 3)... there was nothing worth mentioning =3=
OH wait... the guy in influence, he was pretty cool, Ive seen that stuff done better, but their routine got a bit repetetive... ok so i'll post next week, hopefully with some new cool info V:Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375626205918435206.post-31394664743626005992013-01-13T12:41:00.000-08:002013-01-13T12:41:28.561-08:00Got To Dance episodes 1 - 4
Ok so my sister took the Sky box with her and the only way I can watch Got To Dance now is by going to her house, I'm only going to mention stuff i think is worth mentioning.
Ok so the first 2 episodes, there was a kid that was ok, dancing to Cinema (Skrillex remix) I didnt find it over powering but it was good enough to mention. apart from this kid, theres nothing else worth mentioning.

Ok, 3rd & 4th episode (which was much better)
First off, theres all girl crew called Poison, i really liked them, the stuff they did was brilliant, they said "commercial / street" I think its more street and I really enjoyed their performance, not as good as ReQuest (and in my eyes no one ever will be) but I think they could probably get far on a show like ABDC.
the 2nd person worth mentioning is a guy named "Mindtrick" he danced to a dubstep track, i forget what, but his popping was really cool, and some other bits were cool, I think he's better than Ashley Banjo, this guy is more original whereas Banjo likes to take moves from phillipine crews to win BGT :3
the strobing he did to the 16th notes in the song were cool (strobing is the right word i think, where one shakes in a way thats epic)
Antics are back, good for them, I liked them somewhat last year, they're ok but once you've seen someone already do something they've done but better, then you think "meh" dont get me wrong, they do tutting, i like tutting, they do a lil krump (which i'm liking lately) but they didnt do enough to make me really really like them.
some guy called "godson" who was krumping is hot o3o he seemed better than the people that were krumping last week, last weeks krumpers werent that great.
ok, so the one i liked the most (apart from poison) Is Ruff Diamond, they auditioned last year, they were also at Hip Hop International 2011 and 2012, so i guess they were britains best in the HHI Adult Devision, I like them, they're cool, done some cool tricks, i think this was better than their HHI performance, even though some of this was taken from their HHI routine, it was alot better executed.
Ionno whut else to type up, so i'll finish with it there.
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
